Case Studies
Real homes. Real investigations. Proper outcomes.
Mould problems are rarely identical.
Different properties, different layouts, different causes, and that’s why real examples matter.
Below are real-life case studies showing how we investigate mould issues, what we found, how we treated them, and the steps recommended to help prevent mould returning.
Each case study follows the same clear structure, so you can see exactly how we work.
How our case studies are structured.
Every case study includes:
The property context
The issue reported
Our investigation findings
The remediation work carried out
Our recommendations going forward
No vague claims. Just clear, practical detail.
Case Study 1
Property type: Semi-detached house
Client: Homeowner (direct)
The issue
Recurring mould and condensation affecting the bathroom, back bedroom and front bedroom, despite regular cleaning.
What we found
High humidity, cool surface temperatures and restricted airflow were creating condensation across multiple rooms. A lack of bathroom ventilation and cold external wall junctions were key contributors.
What we did
We carried out a full investigation, treated all affected areas using our four-stage mould treatment, and provided a detailed post-works report with tailored recommendations.
Outcome
Mould was successfully treated, and the homeowner was given clear guidance to help prevent it returning..
Case Study 2
Property type: Detached house
Client: Landlord (direct) on behalf of tenants
The issue
A severe mould outbreak was found in the pantry of a rented property, raising concerns around damp ingress and internal wall moisture.
What we found
Internal moisture readings were elevated, indicating damp within the wall. Further investigation outside revealed soil from newly built flower beds had been piled above the damp proof course, allowing moisture to penetrate the brickwork.
What we did
We treated the mould, dried out the affected wall, and applied an anti-mould, damp-resistant paint. A report was provided with clear recommendations to correct the external ground levels.
Outcome
The mould was removed, the cause clearly identified, and steps put in place to significantly reduce the risk of recurrence.
A final word on treating mould properly.
Mould problems are rarely solved by cleaning alone.
By combining proper investigation, structured treatment and clear reporting, we help ensure mould is dealt with in the right way… not just the quickest way.
